IPA is a clear, colorless liquid that has disinfectant properties. Isopropyl alcohol is also used in the manufacture of acetone and its derivatives and as a solvent or chemical intermediate. IPA is a major ingredient in "gas dryer" fuel additives. ACS Reagent Grade IPA meets or exceeds the specificiations set by the American Chemical Society. ACS isopropyl alcohol can be used for ACS applications or for general procedures that require stringent quality specifications.
